• My Berkeley office is very near Telegraph Avenue and the University of California at Berkeley (for coffee lovers there is a Peets less than ½ block away).  There is available parking several blocks away.

 

• My office hours are in the daytime and by appointment only. I do not work evenings.

 

 

• Because I have a consultation practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and because I teach locally, nationally, and internationally, I am sometimes away from my office for 10-14 days at a time.

 

• Although I have good and constantly updated psychopharmacology knowledge and skills, I only prescribe for patients who are in treatment (psychotherapy) with me. This means that if you are seeing another psychotherapist, I would not be the psychiatrist to do your medication.

 

• My  consultation fee is $180/session.

 

• I do not have a sliding scale—My involvement with several non-profit organizations limits the number of hours I have to do direct psychotherapy.

 

 

• I am not affiliated with any insurance panel, plan, or any HMO. I do not bill directly to insurance companies.  If you have insurance coverage I can give you a statement (with appropriate diagnostic and treatment codes) which you can use for payment reimbursement from your company. Please check with your insurance company to see if they will make that arrangement with you.

 

• I do not accept any insurance including Medicare, Medicaid, or MediCal
